While studying in Lacoste, France, I visited Dora Maar’s house—now a museum—which was once given to her by Pablo Picasso. After the visit, our class was assigned to create a swimwear collection centered on diversity, drawing inspiration from the trip. My collection reflects the lingering sadness of the house, the abuse Maar endured during her relationship with Picasso, and the patterns I discovered throughout its empty rooms.
